Obilet Partner Planet Rent Delivers Defective 2014 Rental Car After Airport Delays
I made a rental reservation for a Nissan Micra through Obilet from Nissa Rent for the dates of July 31 to August 4, with pickup scheduled at Podgorica Airport. However, my overall experience was an absolute disappointment.
Although my reservation specified a recent model Nissan Micra, the vehicle was handed over by Planet Rent instead, and I was provided with a dirty, 2014-model, two-door Volkswagen Polo (license plate PG HE 385). The vehicle delivered matched neither the vehicle I selected during booking nor the quality level I paid for. Furthermore, I was forced to wait over an hour at the airport just for the vehicle delivery.
When the agent finally arrived, an additional fee of 220 Euros was demanded from me. After making me wait another 30 minutes, they claimed it was an error and canceled the extra fee. I suffered unnecessary delays and severe stress on the very first day of my vacation.
The condition of the delivered car was equally unacceptable. The air conditioner took nearly 30 minutes to start cooling, the car lacked a functional phone charging port, and the turn signal indicator was faulty. Receiving such an old, poorly maintained, and uncomfortable vehicle in return for the price paid is completely unacceptable.
I placed my reservation via Obilet, trusting Nissa Rent as the vendor. However, throughout the entire process, I was forced to deal with Planet Rent instead, and I received insufficient support regarding the resolution of my grievance. Since I completed my booking and payment through Obilet, I believe Obilet must properly vet its business partners and protect its customers from these types of vendor failures.
My vacation was severely disrupted due to this negative experience, and I unfortunately cannot recommend this rental process to anyone. My reservation number is 17B185AE5321. I demand that my grievance be addressed, an investigation be conducted into the stark discrepancy between the service paid for and the service received, and a reasonable resolution be provided to me.
