The customer service at Madewell is extremely unpleasant and provides little assistance. Even after providing a thorough explanation of my complaint, they rudely dismissed it as a result of user error. Despite submitting evidence of a small tear in my jeans, which I've owned for a relatively short time and taken care of, my request for an exchange or store credit was denied, with the company claiming it was my fault. It's quite evident that a pair of jeans tearing within a year is a result of a manufacturing defect, as there seems to be no other plausible explanation. There is a tear in the seam area, but there doesn't seem to be any external damage. I am extremely disappointed with their actions and will not be engaging in any future business with them.
