Levi's Refused My Complaint After My 511 Jeans Tore in 13 Months
I bought a pair of Levi's 511 jeans from one of their stores 13 months ago. I usually wore them only 1 or 2 days a week; I work in an office job, drive to the office in the morning, sit on an office chair all day, and take off the jeans around 7 p.m. A tear appeared on the fabric near the back pocket. If it were wear or thinning, I could understand since the product was used, but in all the jeans I have worn for years, I have never experienced such a tear. This is clearly a fabric manufacturing defect. Even though I still have the receipt, the store staff told me, “Invoices are deleted after 1 year,” and refused to even send the product for inspection, rejecting my receipt. They just brushed me off by saying there was nothing they could do, and their attitude felt like they were implying, “You wore it for a year, what more do you expect?” I expected a much better customer experience from a brand like Levi's. When I looked at the resolution rate here (11/100), I realized that expecting a solution from this brand was a mistake, but I still want it to be known that this brand is a wrong choice in terms of price and performance.
