KFC Route 40 Served Cold Food During My Daughter’s Birthday Dinner

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, my family and I visited the KFC on Route 40 in New Castle, Delaware, to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, as we have done for the past 10 years, because KFC is her favorite. We paid cash in the store for an order that included an 8-piece bucket, original recipe, biscuits, and mashed potatoes with gravy. When we received the food, it was cold, and the biscuits were hard, which made the meal very disappointing, especially for a birthday dinner. I went to the counter to ask for a receipt, and the cashier laughed and told me they did not know how to print it. Their attitude was very rude and dismissive. Because of the poor quality of the food and the way we were treated, my husband, our kids, and I decided to leave. I am requesting that our order be replaced, as this was supposed to be a special birthday meal for my daughter, and we have been loyal customers coming to this location for her birthday for a decade. I would like this situation to be reviewed and for a proper replacement meal to be provided so that our trust in this location can be restored.
