I accidentally confirmed a reservation through Hotels.com, and to my surprise, the booking was immediately finalized without any confirmation code, second step, or security prompt. All it took was a single mistaken click, and the reservation was locked in — no “Are you sure?” pop-up, no verification process, nothing.
Realizing the error, I contacted Hotels.com customer service right away, thinking it would be a simple fix. Unfortunately, I was told that the booking could not be canceled or refunded, even though it was clearly a mistake and confirmed within seconds.
This is incredibly frustrating and unfair. In today’s digital world, platforms handling prepaid reservations worth thousands of ₺ should have better safeguards in place to prevent one-click booking errors — especially without any confirmation step.
I’m requesting a full refund for the booking, and I urge Hotels.com to review their booking process and implement proper verification to prevent this kind of situation from happening to others. A single accidental tap should not cost this much. Please take responsibility and resolve this issue promptly.
