Hotels.com Booking Missing Refund Hassle for 20 Days
Hello, on June 30th, I made a reservation for the Ürgüp Alfa Cave Hotel on hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel, we discovered that the reservation had been made for July 14th, 2023, rather than the same day. So I canceled the reservation, but they told me I couldn't get a refund because it had been canceled half an hour earlier. They advised me to contact hotels.com for assistance. We ended up paying for another hotel and calling the number provided, but they were unhelpful. Later, the staff from the canceled hotel contacted hotels.com and assured us that the refund would be processed. However, it has been 20 days and no refund has been received. When I called hotels.com, they claimed that the payment had been made, but the bank claims otherwise. They continue to request account statements, which I have already sent. They are obviously stalling. I will file a complaint with every appropriate authority about the inconvenience caused by both the hotel and hotels.com.
