FlyOne Canceled My Family Trip Without Explanation and Never Offered a Solution
I purchased round-trip tickets with FlyOne for a family visit from Istanbul Airport to Chisinau, Moldova, scheduled for Saturday, May 23. However, our flight was canceled by the airline without any valid explanation, justification, or acceptable reason being provided. As a result of this cancellation, we were also forced to cancel our return flight plans, causing significant inconvenience and disappointment for my entire family.
For this trip, I paid a total of approximately $500 for the round-trip tickets using my credit card. Despite the airline canceling the flight, no alternative transportation, replacement flight, or suitable solution was offered to us. In addition, we were not provided with clear information regarding the reason for the cancellation or the next steps available to affected passengers.
We repeatedly attempted to contact customer service to obtain assistance and clarification. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach a customer representative despite numerous attempts, and no one contacted us with a response or resolution.
Although we did nothing wrong and fully complied with all travel requirements, our plans were disrupted and we suffered both financial and emotional losses. The cancellation prevented us from completing an important family visit and left us without meaningful support from the airline.
I request the full refund of the approximately $500 paid for the tickets to be returned to my credit card as soon as possible. I also ask FlyOne to review the way this situation was handled and provide a written explanation regarding the cancellation, the lack of communication, and the steps being taken to compensate affected passengers for the inconvenience caused.
