Dear GoToGate Representatives,
On June 5, 2025, I booked a flight through your platform for a trip scheduled on July 1, 2025. However, just two hours after making the reservation, I decided to cancel the booking. To my shock, I was informed that a cancellation fee and service charge totaling ₺18,000 would be deducted from my refund.
This amount is extremely high and completely disproportionate—especially considering the short time that passed since the purchase and the fact that the ticket had not yet been used.
According to Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committees and EU consumer protection laws, short-term cancellations must follow principles of fairness, transparency, and proportionality. In light of this, I am formally requesting the following:
A detailed breakdown of the cancellation charge, clearly specifying the service fee, airline penalties, and any other deductions;
A reconsideration of the refund amount, preferably resulting in a full refund or at least a much lower deduction;
A resolution that prioritizes customer satisfaction, especially in such a time-sensitive case.
I expect GoToGate to handle this matter with transparency and fairness. I look forward to your prompt response and a solution that reflects your commitment to ethical and customer-friendly practices.
