On July 3, 2025, we were scheduled to fly from Sabiha Gökçen to Baku at 13:25 with my 3-year-old daughter. However, we were denied boarding because her national ID did not include a photo. This requirement was never communicated to us during booking or by the airline in advance.
At the airport, we were told we needed to cancel the ticket ourselves—but when we tried, GoToGate (the agency that sold us the AJet ticket) refused to process a refund. As a result, we lost both the cost of the flight and our planned vacation. We were left completely stranded and financially burdened by a rule that was never made clear during the booking process.
We’ve been repeatedly wronged—first by the lack of transparency, then by the inability to board, and finally by GoToGate’s refusal to issue a refund for a flight we were not allowed to board through no fault of our own.
I demand that GoToGate and AJet take full responsibility for this situation and issue a full refund immediately. Failing to inform passengers of essential boarding requirements—especially involving children—is unacceptable and has caused unnecessary financial and emotional distress.
