I Paid ₺10,000 for Gotogate Jinair Flight and Lost My Trip with No Refund Offered
I purchased a Seul–Tokyo flight through Gotogate for April 13, operated by Jinair, paying around ₺10,000 for two passengers. Unfortunately, due to issues caused by Gotogate, my entire travel plan was ruined. When I tried to cancel the tickets, Gotogate’s customer service informed me that they would charge a cancellation fee of about ₺1,500 per person, meaning I'd only get back around ₺7,000 at most—if a refund was even approved.
However, I was later informed that Jinair would not issue any refund at all, despite requesting the cancellation a full week in advance. Instead, they offered me either a raffle entry or a voucher, which are both completely useless to me since I cannot use them. This is unacceptable.
I paid in full and followed all the procedures in advance, yet Gotogate and Jinair left me with no flight, no refund, and no real options. I fully intend to pursue my legal rights over this. Gotogate needs to stop dodging responsibility and refund my ₺10,000 immediately. This experience has destroyed my trust in the company and disrupted what was supposed to be a long-planned vacation.
