I bought a Fossil leather bracelet from the La Vie store at Ankara Gordion Mall on October 3, 2024, as a gift. I chose Fossil, assuming it would be both high-quality and covered by warranty, but the bracelet broke within just 4 days. I gifted it on October 6, and by the third or fourth day, the woven leather strap was visibly worn, and the clasp connection had completely torn apart.
The person I gifted it to is a doctor, and I was with them during those days – there was no rough handling that could have caused this. The leather strap separated precisely at the metal clasp connection. I took it back to the store on October 14, explaining my disappointment and embarrassment over the situation, but I was told it could be considered user error and wouldn’t be eligible for replacement.
The store issued a service form to send it for inspection, explaining that leather can’t be exposed to sweat, water, or even mild impact without risking damage. This experience has left me feeling that paying extra for a reputable brand and warranty was meaningless. I’ve lost confidence in both Fossil and La Vie, and I expect the company to address this issue promptly and professionally.
