Enterprise Rent A Car Price Discrepancy Issue

On April 2, 2024, at 18:20, I contacted Enterprise Rent A Car to extend the rental duration for my vehicle with a delivery date of April 3, 2024. The office answered this morning, noting that due to the unavailability, an update would be supplied to allow for the extension. However, it was then stated that owing to the holiday, the extension could only be until April 5, 2024, or I would have to make a new reservation at a higher fee. Why was this information not shared yesterday or this morning? The pricing difference between the initial rental period (03.04.2024 - 17.04.2024) and the extended period (04.04.2024 - 17.04.2024) is significant. If this had been told earlier, I could have gotten a lesser rate. The lack of transparency is disturbing.
