On March 12, 2023, I flew from Baku to Ankara with Buta Airways. Upon arrival, both my suitcase and my spouse’s suitcase were completely broken. At the airport, staff took down our information and assured us that the damaged luggage would be delivered to our home.
However, several days have passed and we have not received any calls, updates, or replacement luggage. No one has contacted us, and nothing has been delivered. When I went to the counter at Ankara Airport, I asked for a contact number, but they refused to provide one and simply dismissed me.
This is unacceptable. These were brand-new suitcases, and the airline has shown no responsibility for the damage or for following up on their promise.
I demand that Buta Airways immediately deliver replacements for the damaged luggage or provide compensation. I also request that the airline establish a proper communication channel for passengers, so that customers are not left in complete uncertainty after such incidents.
