On my Buta Airways flight from Baku to Istanbul, my luggage arrived in a severely damaged condition. When I collected it at baggage claim, I immediately noticed that the lock was broken, the bottom was cracked open, and the wheels were no longer functional, making the suitcase impossible to use.
I took the proper steps right away: I reported the issue to the airport baggage services office, filed an official claim, and also submitted an email complaint directly to Buta Airways with photos clearly showing the damage. Despite following all procedures, I have not received any concrete solution or compensation so far.
This is extremely frustrating, as I entrusted Buta Airways with my belongings, and the suitcase was handed over in good condition before the flight. Now I am left with a completely unusable bag and additional expenses to replace it.
I am requesting immediate compensation for the full cost of my luggage or a proper replacement, along with an official acknowledgment of the damage. I expect Buta Airways to take responsibility and resolve this matter promptly, as this kind of negligence should not be ignored.
