Renault Megane 1.3 TCe Rattle Noise And Service Ignoring Issue
In April 2023, I purchased a brand‑new Renault Megane 1.3 TCe from the Mais Maslak branch in Istanbul. Unfortunately, the problems with the vehicle and the attitude of the service have seriously shaken my trust in both Mais and the Renault brand. About 2–3 months after purchase, the trunk shock absorber broke. We contacted the service center and were told that a part would be ordered from France. We waited for months, and only then was the part replaced. At that point, I realized that this part had not been as it should have been from the very beginning and that the vehicle had been delivered with this defect. However, the main issue is a faint rattling sound that I have been hearing from the first day I bought the car when I press the gas pedal. I reported this sound to the service center multiple times and took the vehicle in, but each time I was told, “there is nothing wrong,” and the car was returned to me without any solution, as if I were exaggerating or imagining the problem. The sound does not occur constantly, but it is heard from time to time during acceleration. Most recently, on February 20th, I submitted a detailed complaint with a video recording of the sound. Seventeen days passed with absolutely no response or solution. No one contacted me until I wrote a complaint in the Google reviews section. All of these processes have been carried out under warranty, but despite my patience over about three years, I have not received any real support or a permanent solution. This will be my first and last Renault vehicle. I no longer intend to approach Mais or purchase a Renault vehicle again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
