Emirates Damaged My Luggage on Flight EK121 — I Want Compensation for the Visible Damage

On October 14, 2024, I flew with Emirates on flight EK121 from Dubai to Istanbul. I landed around 6:00 PM and picked up my suitcase between 6:40 and 7:00 PM. When I received my luggage, I immediately noticed it had been damaged. While it wasn’t completely broken, it clearly no longer looked the same as when I handed it over. The appearance had changed, and the suitcase had visible damage.

When I reported it to the airport staff, they dismissed me, saying that since the luggage wasn’t cracked or completely destroyed, it wasn’t eligible for replacement. This is unacceptable. Just because it’s not shattered doesn’t mean the damage should be ignored. I trusted Emirates with my belongings, and they were returned in worse condition.

I’m asking Emirates to take responsibility and offer a proper resolution. The damage is real, and I shouldn’t be expected to accept a visibly harmed suitcase with no compensation. Please take this seriously and make it right.
