Unjustified €740 Charge for Windshield Damage on a Rental Car from Recardgo via Booking.com

I rented a Fiat Panda from Recardgo in Bergamo, Italy, through Booking.com. At the time of rental, I was informed that damages up to €1,200 would be covered and that I could purchase additional insurance for anything beyond that.
I returned the car without any accident, but a small crack appeared on the windshield, likely caused by a stone from another vehicle. This minor damage could have easily been fixed with a simple glass repair kit. However, the next day, I noticed that €740 had been charged to my credit card without any prior notice.
To make matters worse, there is no available contact number or customer support where I can inquire whether Booking.com's insurance should cover this charge. I have been left without any assistance or answers.
I demand an immediate review of this unfair charge and a proper response from Booking.com and Recardgo. If I do not receive a resolution, I will escalate this issue further.
