I Paid for Full Coverage on Booking.com but Sixt Made Me Pay €90 More at Pickup

I booked a rental car through Booking.com with Sixt and purchased the full protection package offered during the reservation process. I assumed everything was covered — until I arrived at the Sixt counter to pick up the car.
To my surprise, the Sixt representative told me that the full protection I bought through Booking.com was not valid, and if I wanted proper coverage, I had to pay an additional €90 directly to them. I had no choice but to pay it on the spot, or I wouldn't have been allowed to take the vehicle. This is completely misleading and feels like a scam.
Why is Booking.com selling a protection package that its partner doesn’t recognize? This is a clear case of false advertising, and customers are the ones left paying the price. I booked in good faith, thinking I was fully protected, only to be pressured into paying more upon arrival.
I demand that Booking.com refund the ₺ amount equivalent to the €90 I was forced to pay. I’m also warning others — do not rent cars through Booking.com if you don’t want to be misled and double-charged for insurance. This needs to be addressed immediately.
