I Face Double Credit Card Charge for Booking at Amsterdam XO Hotel Blue

I booked a stay at Amsterdam XO Hotel Blue through Booking.com for July 6–11, using reservation number 4859319863. However, on July 2, the exact same amount for my booking was charged to my credit card twice. This was not an additional booking or any extra service—just a duplicate charge.

I immediately contacted Booking.com customer service to report the issue, but they told me the payment would be collected directly by the hotel. When I reached out to the hotel, they insisted the money was not with them and showed no interest in resolving the matter. Both Booking.com and the hotel passed the responsibility back and forth without providing any real solution.

This duplicate charge has caused unnecessary financial stress. I demand that the extra payment be refunded to my account immediately and that Booking.com ensures such billing errors do not occur again. As a customer, I expect transparency, accountability, and prompt resolution from both the booking platform and the hotel.

I made a reservation for xo Blue Hotel in Amsterdam via Booking.com for the dates between July 6-11, 2023. The reservation fee of 572.22 Euros was charged to my credit card twice. I tried to contact both Booking.com and the hotel; Booking.com stated that the payments were at the hotel, while the hotel said they had not received any payment. I was constantly redirected between the parties and my problem was not resolved. I have been waiting for a refund for 1.5 months and cannot reach customer service, I cannot speak directly with anyone. I have credit card statements showing two separate payment transactions. I request that the double-charged amount be refunded to my account as soon as possible.
