I Booked Twice and Paid Twice at Exe Liberdade Lisbon Due to Booking.com App Error
On July 10th, while trying to book a non-refundable reservation at Exe Liberdade hotel in Lisbon for August 19-23, I encountered an error on the Booking.com app during my first attempt. I repeated the process and successfully completed the booking. Later, I discovered that the first reservation had also gone through, meaning I was charged twice for the same stay. As soon as I realized this, I contacted both Booking.com and the hotel to resolve the issue. However, Booking.com told me it was up to the hotel and that they couldn’t help, while the hotel outright refused to refund me. Booking.com’s failure to protect my rights against a hotel seemingly trying to profit from an error has severely shaken my trust in their service. I expect my complaint to be resolved and a refund issued promptly.
