On July 19, 2025, I booked a car rental through Booking.com with Drivalia at Bari Airport for ₺16,600. My reservation specifically required an automatic transmission vehicle. However, when I arrived to collect the car, Drivalia informed me they had no automatic vehicles available, meaning my reservation could not be fulfilled. This was entirely due to the company’s lack of availability, not any issue on my part.
When I spoke to Drivalia, they told me that the refund would be handled by Booking.com. Since Booking’s customer service was closed that day, I contacted them on the next business day. On July 28, they instructed me to open a formal complaint, saying the matter would be reviewed. Despite this, no refund was issued, and the entire ₺16,600 I paid was retained.
I have had a similar issue in the past where Booking.com refunded me without any problem. This time, there were no special terms or restrictions stated in my reservation that would prevent a refund. I am demanding a full reimbursement of the ₺16,600 immediately and expect Booking.com to take responsibility for a service I paid for but never received.
