I Booked a Hotel in Rome via Booking.com—There Was No Hotel and No Refund

My wife and daughter made a hotel reservation in Rome through Booking.com, but when they arrived in the city, they were shocked to discover that the hotel didn’t even exist. They were completely stranded in a foreign country with nowhere to stay. To make matters worse, Booking.com refused to refund the payment, claiming that the hotel had already received the money and they weren’t responsible.

Not only did they take our money for a non-existent hotel, but they also failed to offer any assistance or alternative accommodation. Imagine being in a foreign country with your child and having no place to sleep—this isn’t just poor service, it’s dangerous and unacceptable.
