Booking.com Reservation Showed 5 Guests but Confirmed Only 4 After Payment

I made a reservation through Booking.com at Deshadan Mountain Resort – The Highest Resort in Munnar, under the name S. Ganesh P/ Selvaraj, for a stay from Friday, August 14, 2026, to Sunday, August 16, 2026. While making the booking, the system clearly showed that the reservation was for 5 persons, and I proceeded with the payment based on that information. The reference ID of my original booking for 2 persons, which I made earlier through your website, is 5341527183. After seeing that the system was not correctly reflecting 5 guests, I cancelled the earlier 2-person booking in order to add additional guests. However, after completing the new booking’s payment formalities, the booking confirmation showed that only 4 members would be accommodated instead of the 5 guests originally displayed at the time of booking. The resort in Munnar did not accept my request to accommodate 5 guests as I had intended and as initially shown during the booking process. Because of this discrepancy between what was shown while booking and what appears after payment, and because I had already booked and then cancelled a 2-person reservation through your platform to add more guests, I request that the amount of Rs. 11,066/- be refunded to me through the original mode of payment. I expect Booking.com to review the booking details, acknowledge the error, and process the refund accordingly.
