Booking.com Reservation for Non-Existent Hotel in Varna, Bulgaria
We made a reservation through Booking.com for a hotel in Varna, Bulgaria, with a check-in on August 2nd. Upon arrival, we discovered that the hotel did not exist. We searched the area with locals and verified through Google Maps, but there was no hotel at the provided address or in the village. The hotel didn’t have a phone number listed, and despite positive reviews, the reservation turned out to be fraudulent. After hours of searching, my spouse contacted Booking.com’s customer service, who promised to get back to us within 40 minutes with the hotel's phone number, but no one followed up. We had no choice but to sleep in our car as there were no other hotels nearby. We were charged for a non-existent hotel and misled to a fake address. I am filing a complaint globally about this site, advising against prepayment, and demanding an apology and a full refund.
