Wingie Booking Error Forces Passengers to Abandon Luggage at Airport
As part of the flight reservation I booked through Wingie, I purchased a total of three checked bags for my wife and daughter. However, when they arrived at Cairo Airport for flight KU 542 on July 21, the Kuwait Airways counter informed them that only one 32 kg bag appeared in the system, and the extra 23 kg baggage allowance was not registered.
As a result, my wife and daughter were unable to check their 23 kg luggage and were forced to abandon it at the airport. Not only did we suffer a financial loss of approximately 80 KWD, but they also experienced severe emotional distress having to leave their belongings behind.
When I contacted Wingie support, I received an email acknowledging that this was a system-related error. However, despite this admission, I have not been offered any solution, refund for the service, or compensation for my losses to date. Furthermore, Wingie has failed to provide a clear and explicit apology.
I demand a full refund for the unprovided baggage service, compensation for our total losses of approximately 80 KWD incurred by having to abandon the luggage at the airport, and a formal apology from Wingie for this ordeal. Please note that I have already initiated a chargeback through my bank and escalated the matter to the relevant official authorities. I expect my issue to be resolved without delay.
