I booked a hotel reservation in Sharm El Sheikh through Booking.com and paid for it with my credit card. Three days before my trip, Booking.com closed my account without explanation and canceled my reservation for no reason. I could not access my account, reservation, or site representatives.
Even though I did not cancel the reservation and Booking.com canceled it four days before my arrival (according to Booking.com's cancellation policy, a fee of 128.73 USD is charged for cancellations after March 21, 2024, at 00:00), Booking.com deducted 118 USD from my refund. They put me in a difficult situation and stole my money.
I am demanding a full refund. If necessary, I will file a complaint with the Dutch authorities.
