Beware Of Alibaba Seller Using Fake FDA Certificates To Sell Medical

I purchased a CO2 laser anti-aging device from the Alibaba.com seller “Hubei Lufen Technology” around August 1, 2026, to be delivered to my address in the USA. The seller divided what should have been a single order into four separate orders with different order numbers for a total of 1,483.06 USD, which already made the transaction more complicated to dispute. The seller clearly advertised and represented this CO2 laser machine as FDA-approved. After receiving and using the device, I suffered a burn on my hand. In addition, the device began to smoke and then stopped working consistently, so I stopped using it for safety reasons. When I checked with the FDA, I learned that there is no record supporting the seller’s claim of FDA approval, so I realized I had been misled by false advertising. I reported my injury and the situation to my doctor, and reports were filed with the FDA. On September 13, I requested a full refund from the seller due to the injury and the misrepresentation of FDA approval. I contacted both the seller and Alibaba many times and provided proof from the FDA, but my claim was denied even though the seller’s conduct and the product’s condition are clearly not in line with the Trade Assurance guarantees. I request that Alibaba issue a full refund of the 1,483.06 USD I paid for this device and take action against the seller “Hubei Lufen Technology” for falsely claiming FDA approval and selling a product that caused injury and then malfunctioned. I also ask that the seller be stopped from continuing to advertise this machine as FDA-approved when the FDA has no record of it, so that other customers are not put at similar risk.
