Through Booking.com, I made a prepaid, non-refundable reservation at Ergife Palace Hotel under the name S y*** for the dates November 25–30, 2025, in order to attend a conference in Rome. My reservation number is 6925486660.
However, on November 21, 2025, I was involved in a traffic accident, was injured, and was diagnosed with a neck displacement. My physician issued a medical disability report and prohibited me from taking long airplane flights for an extended period. As a result, traveling became impossible due to force majeure circumstances beyond my control.
On November 21, 2025, I informed both Booking.com and Ergife Palace Hotel of the situation by email. The hotel stated that the process was handled entirely by Booking.com and directed me back to them. I then submitted the same information in writing through the Booking.com system as well. Unfortunately, Booking.com did not respond to my emails or my in-system request, and no solution was offered.
Because of this medically documented force majeure, which occurred entirely outside of my control, I am unable to use the accommodation service. Despite this, I find it unacceptable that no response was provided and that no flexibility regarding a refund was shown. Since I am unable to travel by plane for an extended period due to the neck injury caused by the accident, I request that the payment for this reservation be refunded at least partially, or preferably in full.
