Between March 15–20, I booked a hotel through Booking.com for $852.82. The very next day, I noticed the exact same room with the same conditions listed on their website for $718.72. I immediately submitted a price match request through their “Price Match Guarantee” section.
They called me and asked for a screenshot and the link to the lower-priced listing. I sent the requested proof just 1 hour and 29 minutes after receiving their email—well within a reasonable timeframe. They assured me that after my trip, the $134.10 price difference would be refunded to my account.
But a few days later, I received an email saying I didn’t reply within 24 hours, so they wouldn’t honor the price match. This is completely false and unacceptable. I followed every instruction and still got denied.
Booking.com is misleading its customers by promoting a price match policy they don’t actually honor—even when the evidence is clear and the response is timely. I demand that the ₺ equivalent of $134.10 be refunded to me immediately, and I urge Booking.com to stop making empty promises to loyal users.
