Booking.com Kept $1600 CAD After My Lufthansa Flight Cancellation


I am terribly dissatisfied with Booking.com. I booked a Lufthansa and a Pegasus ticket for my August 29, 2024 flight from Toronto to Dublin to Ankara with Booking.com. I had to cancel my flight due to complications caused by Lufthansa. Lufthansa advised me that because I purchased the ticket through Booking.com, I should receive a full refund, including for connecting flights.
Lufthansa initially indicated the ticket could not be canceled, but after clarifying the case, they agreed to reimburse it. I even agreed to pay a penalty of more than $300 CAD, but they only returned me around $441 CAD. Booking.com has withheld a total of $2014 CAD from me due to circumstances beyond my control.
This is unacceptable. I demand that Booking.com repay the outstanding balance owed to me promptly. I had put my trust in Booking.com, and the experience has been really disappointing. Booking.com, please rectify this issue as soon as possible and refund my money.
