Booking.com Double Payment, No Room, and Endless Refund Waiting

I recently reserved a room through booking.com, but things did not go as planned. I ended up paying twice but still did not receive my room. To make matters worse, they demanded another payment from me. They promised me a refund for the extra payment, but it's been two months and I'm still waiting. When I contact their customer service team, they simply tell me to be patient and wait some more. I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with the entire situation. I mean, I call and email every two days, but they never respond directly. And now they want me to wait ten more days? This company does not seem trustworthy to me. It's been a nightmare trying to get my money back. I just want this resolved as soon as possible.
