Booking.com Double Charges Credit Card for Same Hotel Stay

I made a reservation through Booking to stay at the Ibis Hotel in Marrakech for the dates January 14–15, 2026. Even though a payment of $154 USD was successfully charged to my credit card, this transaction did not appear as a reservation in the Booking system. Because no reservation record was created in the app, I had to make a second payment with my credit card for the same hotel and the same stay.

At the moment, two separate charges have been taken from my credit card for the same stay, and it is clear that the first charge is a duplicate transaction since no reservation was created in the system. I have not yet received any response from Booking customer service, and despite the payment records, my reservation still does not appear in the app.

I request that the excess charge be identified and refunded to me as soon as possible. If needed for the investigation, I can provide my credit card statement, transaction details, and payment receipts. I kindly ask to be informed promptly about this issue and for my inconvenience to be resolved.
