Booking.com Denied Hotel Stay in Milan with No Refund

I used Booking.com to book a hotel in Milan, and the payment was taken care of. During the trip, however, our car broke down, so we sent a message to the hotel asking for help. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com answered our messages, which was a shame. We tried to call the customer service number for Booking.com, but they didn't seem to care. The representative said they would call the hotel and get back to us, but we never heard from them again. We went to the hotel out of desperation, but they wouldn't let us stay and didn't give us our money back. We felt like we were treated unfairly and left alone in a city we didn't know. This was a terrible nightmare that made us feel helpless while we were away. We thought Booking.com would help us have a good time, but their lack of support and the actions of the hotel made us feel betrayed. Be careful when using online booking services, because they may not always be there for you when you need them.
