I had a terrible experience with Booking.com while planning my trip to Chișinău. I had to make three separate hotel reservations because every time I booked and received a confirmation, the property later canceled on me with ridiculous excuses.
First reservation: Canceled because of a "boiler malfunction."
Second reservation: Canceled due to a "plumbing issue," and they tried to push me to another hotel I didn’t want. I requested an official cancellation confirmation, but it still hasn’t been processed.
Third reservation (Central 1 Bedroom): Everything seemed fine. I even communicated with the host on WhatsApp, shared my arrival time, and we confirmed the check-in details. However, once I landed, I connected to the internet and saw a message from the host at 12 PM. I responded immediately, saying I was on my way. Instead of waiting, the host canceled my booking, saying I didn’t respond in time—even though the check-in time hadn’t even arrived yet!
I arrived in the city with my luggage, no accommodation, and no help from Booking.com. This is unacceptable! How does Booking.com allow hosts to cancel confirmed reservations at the last minute and leave travelers stranded? I demand an immediate resolution, and Booking.com must hold these unreliable hosts accountable.
