Booking.com Charged Me Despite Free Cancellation, No Refund Yet

I'm deeply frustrated with Booking.com. We rented two apartments at Kotor Apartments Casa di Cattaro for June 28 - July 1, 2024, with free cancellation and no prepayment required. We canceled within the allowed time, and Booking confirmed the cancellation. However, the full amount was still charged to my credit card. Both Booking.com and the hotel are blaming each other, and I still haven't received a refund. This is incredibly disappointing, as Booking.com's guarantee turned out to be false. I demand a full refund from the hotel as promised.
