Brand New Asus Monitor Had A Dead Pixel Problem
On 20.05.2023, when I took my Asus brand monitor, which I bought from Media Markt in Istanbul Pendik Neomarin Shopping Mall, home and turned it on, I noticed that there was 1 dead pixel. Then I contacted Asus authorized service and explained the situation. They asked me to take a picture and send it to me. And as a reply via e-mail, they stated in writing that 1 dead pixel is considered normal, and if there are 4 side by side, it will be considered defective. I don't want to buy a screen with 1 dead pixel even if I bought a zero closed box product. In the phone call I made with Media Markt customer service, I was told that I would be helped if I took the device with the invoice. Accordingly, when I took my monitor to the store where I bought it, they told me that there was nothing they could do and that I could request a refund or exchange if the service gave a defective report. When I told them that the service already told me that they did not see this product as defective, they could not do anything. If you want, they said, let us send it to the service by cargo. However, I did not send it for fear of any other damage to the product during shipping. They said I could deliver it to the service myself, but I am disabled and the process has already started to tire me. In the end, I was forced to use the product. I decided to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I preferred the Asus brand monitor with the idea that I would not have any problems by paying much more money than its equivalents, but they regretted it.
