Anadolu Sigorta Refused to Unclog My Rainwater Drain Despite My Emergency Coverage
I requested emergency assistance from Anadolu Sigorta under my home insurance policy to unclog a blocked rainwater drain. The plumber they sent used an inspection camera and inserted it into the pipeline, which is approximately 30 meters long. Although the full 25-meter cable of the device was used and advanced through the pipeline without encountering any blockage, the plumbing company still issued a report claiming that the pipe had been crushed due to a landslide—even though there was no such indication in the footage. Despite having emergency assistance coverage under my policy, they are now asking me to transfer the matter to the claims department without carrying out the necessary unclogging work. In order not to lose my coverage, I am requesting that the plumbing company proceed with the work required to open the pipe.
Yesterday, Ms. Elif from Anadolu Asist called and stated that they would send another technician regarding my complaint. Again, last night at 22:00, the technician called and tried to learn about the malfunction while eating at the same time. Today, another official from the company called and said they could not send the technician. I asked why they sent the first technician if it was not covered, why they directed a second technician, and what had changed. I did not receive a satisfactory answer. As far as I understand, this unit, which is not familiar with the technical side of the issue, has become a toy in the hands of the technicians who provide service to them. It is extremely disappointing that such a massive national company is managed with such unprofessional and contradictory decisions. They are talking about a collapse underground and breaking and demolishing work just to avoid clearing the blockage in the rainwater installation, which is a clean water installation. However, no such finding was observed during the video inspection. I say, if there is such an image among the camera recordings taken during the inspection, send it to me, but they do not send it. I just say try to open it, if breaking and demolishing is necessary, do not do it, but they do not listen. They are making Anadolu Sigorta lose its reputation as an institution that respects its guarantees. With such an approach, they are discouraging customers from purchasing insurance policies.
