Amazon Took the Payment for Salomon XA 3D V9 Shoes at Once
ordered Salomon XA 3D V9 shoes from Amazon on November 30, 2023, intending to make the payment in six installments at the cash price. To my surprise, upon checking my bank statement the next day, I noticed that a single payment had been deducted. Concerned about this discrepancy, I contacted Amazon customer service through the chat feature, where a representative suggested that I might have forgotten to select the installment option during the purchase. Despite my insistence that I had indeed chosen the installment plan, the customer service representative did not offer a satisfactory resolution. I later verified the order details and confirmed that I had selected the installment option. Following this, I provided my contact number for them to call me back. In a subsequent conversation with a representative named B***, I recounted the situation. Initially attempting to downplay the issue, B*** seemed surprised when I presented a screenshot confirming the installment selection. After a brief wait, she claimed there was a system error, suggesting I contact my bank to arrange installment payments and offered a gift voucher due to the inconvenience. Opting for a direct refund instead of a voucher, B*** insisted on canceling the order. Following this unproductive call, I discovered that Amazon had raised the price of the same product from 4300 TL to around 5500 TL. This revelation left me dissatisfied with the handling of my concerns and raised questions about pricing practices on the platform.
