On April 4, 2026, I ordered a vehicle sunroof switch manufactured in China through AliExpress. I paid $80 for the product and also paid all shipping costs and import taxes that were presented during the checkout process. Despite fulfilling all payment obligations in advance, I am now experiencing serious problems with the delivery process.

According to the shipment tracking information, my package has reached Türkiye and is currently stuck at airport customs with a status indicating that it has been separated from the normal delivery process. Before placing the order, I was never informed that I could face such significant customs-related issues or additional charges after already paying shipping and taxes.

When I contacted the seller regarding the situation, I was told that the matter was related to Turkish customs procedures and that they were unwilling to cover any additional costs. While my shipment remains held at customs, I was contacted by a customs brokerage company and informed that I would need to pay approximately $432 in additional fees. This amount is several times higher than the value of the product itself and far exceeds the taxes and shipping charges I had already paid when placing the order.

I find it unacceptable that, after paying the full purchase price, shipping fees, and import taxes upfront, I am now being asked to pay an excessive and unexpected amount simply to receive my order. The lack of transparency regarding potential customs complications has caused significant frustration, financial concern, and inconvenience.

I request that AliExpress provide clear and accurate information regarding customs procedures in Türkiye and ensure that customers are properly informed about any potential import-related costs before completing a purchase. I also ask that AliExpress assist in resolving this matter so that my package can be delivered without unreasonable additional charges and that the inconvenience and financial hardship caused by this process be addressed appropriately.

As a customer, I expect greater transparency and protection from unexpected fees that effectively make the purchase far more expensive than originally advertised.
