AliExpress Charged Me Over 120% Tax in Turkey—Far Above Legal Limit
AliExpress is applying excessive taxation on orders shipped to Turkey, far beyond the official rate set by the government. As per Turkish regulations, the standard tax on imported goods is around 60%, yet AliExpress is charging over 120% in taxes on many items. This is not just confusing—it feels exploitative.
For comparison, I made the same type of purchase on Temu, and they applied the correct 60% tax rate with full transparency. AliExpress, on the other hand, gives no proper breakdown and inflates the final price under the label of "taxes and fees." It’s as if they’re profiting off taxes that should only be collected by the government.
This pricing practice is deceptive, especially when customers like me are trying to shop within their budget and rely on accurate tax representation.
AliExpress, I demand an immediate explanation and correction of your tax calculations for Turkish buyers. Either apply the official rate or lose your credibility in this market. We will not accept being overcharged under the false pretense of legal taxation.
