Ajet Made My Family Miss Their Flight by Forcing a Medical Report at Last Minute
On behalf of my mother and sister, I purchased a ticket for the Ankara to Trabzon flight on 13.02.2025 at 08:05, with the reservation number 2ATYFR. However, at the check-in counter, an airline employee asked a series of unnecessary questions that were not part of the ticket purchase process, causing significant delays and ultimately leading them to miss their flight. These questions included "Do you have a chronic illness?" and "Do you have a doctor's report?". As a result, they were directed to the airport doctor and forced to obtain a "fit to fly" report, which cost ₺3,500. By the time they completed these procedures, they were informed that the plane doors had closed, and they needed to purchase new tickets. My mother has asthma and always carries her medication, yet she has never encountered such an issue before, including during her previous flight on 22.01.2025. I personally fly 5-10 times a year and have never experienced such a procedure. If the airline considers passengers' health conditions so critical, why are these checks not conducted during ticket purchase or online check-in? It is unacceptable that a random counter employee, with no medical expertise, can delay passengers to the point of missing their flight. This is a clear abuse of authority, and passengers have been deliberately inconvenienced and victimized. I demand that Ajet Airlines take immediate action to rectify this issue.
