Ajet Denied Boarding Due to Surname Change

I would like to share the grievance we experienced on our Ajet flight from Ankara to Dalaman (PNR Code: 36daqt, Seats: 10A–10B) on October 13, 2025. We arrived at the airport on time and presented all required documents. However, the airline staff stated that we would not be allowed to board because my surname had changed after marriage. Although my ID card with my new surname is an official and valid document, the staff demanded access to my e-Government account and a scan of my marriage certificate. Despite this request violating my privacy, I complied, yet we were still denied boarding with the remark “you cannot board.” The staff behaved rudely and indifferently throughout the process, avoiding explanations. Even though about 40 minutes remained before departure, no solution was offered, and contradictory statements such as “if you didn’t have a return ticket, I would have let you board” were made. Strikingly, we flew back from Dalaman to Ankara with Ajet a few days later using the same ID without any issues, showing that the initial incident was arbitrary and against procedure. The request for access to my e-Government account violates the Personal Data Protection Law and Civil Aviation Passenger Rights Regulation. As a result, our tickets were unfairly forfeited, we had to buy new connecting flights costing around ₺8,000–₺9,000, our travel plans were disrupted, we suffered significant stress, and our personal data privacy was breached. I have also filed a complaint with Presidential Communications Center. I request an investigation into the staff involved, an official apology for the privacy breach and misconduct, a refund for the forfeited tickets and additional expenses, and compensation for the moral damages. This incident is not merely a flight issue but also a violation of passenger and personal data rights.
