Facetune App Charges Card Without SMS Security Verification or Email Confirmation
I downloaded the Facetune photo editing app on Android via Google Play to use during a free trial period. While reviewing my past credit card statements, I discovered that after the trial period expired, a payment of $71 was charged to my İşbank Maximum credit card on November 25, 2025, completely without my consent, authorization, or prior notification.
No authorization was requested for this transaction by either the application or the bank via SMS, email, or any other method, and I was not even made aware of it. I consider this charge made without my permission to be a suspicious and unauthorized transaction, which also raises serious concerns regarding my credit card security.
Whichever party is responsible—whether it be the Facetune application or İşbank—I demand the immediate and full refund of this unauthorized $71 charge back to my credit card. Furthermore, I request an explanation as to how and under what justification this transaction was executed without approval, along with the necessary security measures taken to prevent a similar incident from recurring.
