I Paid on Airbnb but Host Demanded Cash and Still Claims Nonpayment

Hello, we booked Marijana’s home on Airbnb for April 24–May 1. Upon arrival, the host claimed she had not received any payment from Airbnb and demanded we pay her in cash. This was incredibly stressful and completely unexpected. To calm the situation, we showed her our bank confirmation proving that payment was processed. Still, she insisted she hadn’t been paid. Trying to be accommodating, we gave her a €50 cash deposit to reassure her until the matter was cleared up.

Days later, she is still claiming she hasn’t received any money, and the situation has become very uncomfortable. We no longer want to stay at this property and demand a full refund of both our Airbnb payment and the €50 deposit we paid in good faith. We also expect a formal apology for this inconvenience.
