I Canceled My Airbnb Booking but Still Haven’t Received My Refund After 20 Days
On July 4, 2025, at 1:00 AM, I made a reservation through Airbnb. Just three hours later, at 4:00 AM the same night, I canceled the booking. Airbnb confirmed that the full amount would be refunded to my credit card and that the refund would be processed within 15 days depending on my bank’s policies.
However, 20 days have passed and I still haven’t received any refund. When I reached out to Airbnb again, they told me to check with my bank. I then contacted Garanti Bank, and their customer service agents clearly stated that no refund transaction had been recorded on their end and that I should follow up with Airbnb.
Now I’m stuck between two parties—Airbnb and my bank—and neither is providing a concrete solution. I’m extremely disappointed with Airbnb’s customer support and the lack of follow-through on their promised refund.
I demand that Airbnb immediately complete my refund and provide confirmation of the transaction. This delay is unacceptable, and I expect this issue to be resolved without further back-and-forth.
