I Paid Airbnb for a 3-Night Stay in Girne But Got No Response or Place to Stay
I’m extremely frustrated with Airbnb and how they handled my booking. I reserved a 3-night apartment stay in Girne for March 22–25, 2025, and the full amount was charged to my credit card on February 22 (code: HMC8JF543F / 800-621-2045). After that payment, I received no communication whatsoever—no check-in instructions, no host contact, nothing.
I made several attempts to reach out to the host and Airbnb, but got no response. With my travel dates approaching and no confirmation or contact, I had no choice but to book another place at the last minute, which cost more and caused a lot of stress.
I’m very disappointed. I paid Airbnb in good faith, and they left me without a place to stay or support. I demand a full refund of the amount paid (₺) and for Airbnb to take responsibility for failing to ensure host communication. I will not be using this platform again unless this is resolved promptly.
