I Booked a Nonexistent Hotel in Cambodia on Airbnb and Never Got a Refund
We booked a hotel room in Cambodia through Airbnb, but when we arrived in the city, we spent over 2 hours in a taxi searching for the place—and it was nowhere to be found. The address provided was completely fake, and at this point, we’re convinced the hotel doesn’t even exist.
We immediately reported the issue to Airbnb, expecting a prompt resolution. But we didn’t even receive a proper response. No support, no explanation, and most importantly—no refund. We paid for a room that literally doesn't exist, and Airbnb has done nothing to make it right.
This is absolutely unacceptable. Airbnb, you are responsible for verifying the legitimacy of listings on your platform. I will be taking legal action and filing formal complaints when I return. Refund my ₺ now and take accountability for allowing scams like this to exist on your site.
