Airbnb Listing Misrepresented and Host Threatened Me
I had an awful experience with an Airbnb rental that was completely misrepresented. The listing showed a comfortable and functional home, but the reality was far from it. I contacted the host a week in advance to confirm that everything was in order, and they assured me there were no issues. However, upon arrival, the property was freezing cold, nothing worked, and the host left immediately after handing over the keys.
To make matters worse, when I posted a truthful review about my experience, it was removed, yet the listing remains active with misleading details and fake positive reviews. My plans were ruined as I had to find alternate accommodations for just one day and couldn’t even enjoy the trip.
Adding insult to injury, the host threatened me after the ordeal. Airbnb’s lack of action to address this fraud and ensure guest safety is appalling. I will be pursuing legal action against both the host and Airbnb for their negligence. This platform should not allow such unethical practices. I demand accountability and immediate action to remove the listing and address my complaint.
