Airbnb Reservation Canceled After Host’s Unprofessional Behavior

I made a reservation on Airbnb and contacted the host via the provided contact number to ask a question. During our conversation, I was asked to send my ID through Airbnb’s messaging system and provide a code sent to me. Shortly after, my reservation was unexpectedly canceled.

When I called the host again to inquire about the cancellation, I was informed that Airbnb had canceled the booking. Concerned about whether I would receive a refund, I expressed my frustration, only to be met with an incredibly unprofessional response. Instead of addressing my concerns, the host insulted me and used offensive language.

This behavior is unacceptable, and I am shocked that such interactions occur on a platform like Airbnb, which claims to prioritize trust and safety. I demand immediate clarification on the cancellation and a full refund for my booking. Airbnb must take action to ensure hosts act professionally and maintain the platform’s standards. If this issue isn’t resolved, I will escalate the matter further.

They took the money, folks. We called about a reservation we never used and hadn't cancelled on our end; the guy was kind enough to cancel it and even swore at us.
