I Got Charged After Airbnb Host Insulted Me and Forced Me to Leave a Filthy, Unlivable Home



Yesterday we checked into an Airbnb property we had booked, but the condition of the home was far below our expectations. The bed was visibly dirty, and the entire house reeked of an overwhelming chlorine smell. It was simply uninhabitable. We contacted the host to report the issue, hoping for a solution. Instead, the host responded with aggressive and offensive language, demanded that we cancel the reservation immediately, and told us to vacate the property.
This type of behavior is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated on a reputable platform like Airbnb. No guest should be subjected to such verbal abuse, especially after arriving at a property that fails to meet basic hygiene standards.
To make things worse, when we canceled the reservation that same day due to these issues, Airbnb still charged us around €58. We believe this fee is completely unjust, given the circumstances we faced. We are asking Airbnb to fully refund the deducted amount and take appropriate action against the host for the unhygienic conditions and verbal abuse.
